This pane controls how cues are made, named and shown while your show is running.

Making And Naming Cues

Label CuePoints at creation: when this is on, a naming box opens the moment you drop a cue so you can type its name straight away. Turn it off if you'd rather drop cues fast during a run and name them all later.

Playback behaviour when labelling: what the show does while that naming box is open.

• Keep Playing: the track carries on. Best in a live run, because the show doesn't wait for you.

• Pause: the track stops until you finish typing. Best when you're building a cue list at your desk.

Default fade timing: the fade time a brand-new cue starts with, in seconds. Set this to the fade you use most so you're not typing the same number all day. You can still change any individual cue afterwards.

While The Show Runs

Countdown to next / prev cue point: shows a live counter of how long until the next cue (and how long since the last one). Handy for calling a show, because you can see the cue coming.

Loopback to start point on pause: when you press pause, the playhead jumps back to where you started playing instead of staying where it stopped. Good for rehearsing the same section over and over.

Auto-scroll CuePoints list: keeps the cue list scrolled to the cue that's playing, so the current cue is always on screen.

• Always unless Control-down is the useful setting: it follows the show, but stops following the second you hold Control to go and look at something else. Let go and it catches up again.

Update playhead when moving cue points: when you drag a cue to a new time, the playhead follows it, so you hear exactly where you've just put it.

The Look Of The List

CuePoints list row height: how tall each row is. Medium suits most people; go taller if you're reading the list from a distance in a dark room, shorter if you want more cues on screen at once.

Choosing Your Columns

The bottom of the pane is the CuePoints list column editor: show, hide, and drag to reorder the columns in the CuePoints list.

• Tick a column to show it, untick to hide it.

• Drag a column up or down to change the order it appears in the list.

• Reset order puts the columns back to FADE, NOTE, OSC, COMMAND, Trigger / TrigDelay.

• Reset widths puts the column widths back to normal, useful if you've dragged one so narrow you can't grab it any more.

Each button does only what it says: resetting the order leaves your widths and your on/off choices alone, and vice versa.

TIME, CUE TYPE and LABEL aren't in this list because they are always shown. CUE is, but its position is fixed at the front. Trigger / TrigDelay is one entry covering two columns, since neither is much use without the other.
